Victory Day 2018

On 8 and 9 May 2018, Moscow, as well as many other cities, hold celebrations to honor the 73nd anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. In two days more than 300 events were held at 33 city venues, which were supported by the Department of Culture of the Moscow City Government. For the third time, Polylog Consulting Group provided PR-support of the events.

Base, mailing, accreditation

Having updated the media database of the previous year and having sent out the announcement of the events, we accredited more than 1,000 media representatives. This figure is twice as high as the previous year. Reporters and cameramen of the most popular Russian tv-channels — Channel One, Russia 1, TVC, Mir, BBC, Moscow-24 — attended various Moscow’s venues.

9 information partners were involved: Russian News Agency TASS, radio stations “Culture” and “Avtoradio”, newspapers Izvestia and Komsomolskaya Pravda, TV-Channels “Moscow 24” and “Zvezda”, Russian Agency of International Information “RIA Novosti” and Yandex.Afisha.


We have developed a visual design of advertising campaign in accordance with the updated corporate identity: avatars, covers for social networks, posters, videoclips. The last ones were broadcasting on 8 and 9 May on the grounds of the celebration: the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Poklonnaya hill, squares of railway stations, Tsaritsyno and Izmailovsky parks.

Short announcements have been developed for radio stations “Culture”, “Autoradio”, “Humor FM”, “Romance”, “LikeFM”, “NRG”.








We posted news and announcements on five online platforms of the Department of culture of Moscow: Vkontakte, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Telegram. From 4 to 10 May, the total audience coverage was 73 087 contacts, and the number of “likes”, reposts and comments — 6 119.

For example, more than 2 million Muscovites and guests of the capital took part in the celebration of Victory Day on Poklonnaya hill.

Bright finish

Festive fireworks “painted” Moscow’s sky in hundreds of different shades thundering thousands of volleys. 3 064 artists performed at the venues of the celebration. And more than 7.5 million people became spectators and participants of one of the main events of the country.
