The Days of the Far East in Moscow

From 14 to 16 December, The Days of the Far East were held in Expocentre. The total volume of built-up areas amounted to more than 8000 square meters. 20 184 people visited the Days. Polylog Consulting Group acted as the operator of the event.

Such an event was held in the Russian capital for the first time. We wanted to demonstrate to the guests of the event that the Russian Far East is comfortably and safely to live and travel region. It is also economically efficient and profitable to work there. Those wishing to check this out, could study the employment opportunities at the Job Fair. The event was supervised by Yuri Trutnev — Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

Job fair

Representatives of 20 the largest Far East companies such as the Shipbuilding Complex “Zvezda”, the Amur Gas Processing Plant, etc were located in the first pavilion. Also, there were a zone of job fair, a zone of professional and career counseling.

  • More than 6 100 visitors learned about the opportunities, provided when moving to the Russian Far East.
  • 2690 people were consulted at the stand of the Agency for Human Capital Development in the Russian Far East. The Agency not only provides information, but also helps with employment.
  • 2074 pupils and students passed the tests for career guidance and took part in career-oriented classes.
  • 388 people discussed the vacancies of the Far East employers at the stands of enterprises.

A special place was given for demonstration of the “Far Eastern Hectare” program. 70 applications for the Russian Far East land were submitted.

Development institutions and regions

8 regions of the Russian Far East presented their stands, where visitors got acquainted with the economic achievements and plans for the development of the regions, the implementation of the Far Eastern hectare, the development of tourist clusters.

Also, in the second pavilion at the stand of development institutions, with the help of an interactive presentation, the guests learned about investment opportunities in various sectors of the economy, and also considered the prospects of the project taking into account the preferential regimes of the Far East on a special investment calculator.

At the stand of The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, the central element of the exhibition was a multimedia projection show “Far East — the land of wildlife”. The system of high-resolution projectors and surround sound created an effect of total immersion for the audience.

Cuisine and culture

7 regions of the Far East presented their cuisine in specially built restaurants. Guests were treated to dumplings with liver and meat of wild boar, king crab, sea snail from Sakhalin etc. 1,500 kg of seafood and 400 kg of meat products were brought to the event. The number of checks, made during the exhibition — 3 880.

8 Far Eastern regions presented their photo zones and brought souvenirs. On the main stage of the exhibition there was a program with performances of 19 teams from 9 regions of the Far East.

Business program

Within the framework of the exhibition, 10 events of the business program were held: presentations, master classes, as well as a session of Ministers of the social block on the theme of social development of the Far East and a Session of the Valdai International Discussion Club on the theme “Russia Turns Towards the East: Next Decade”.

The business program was attended by over 1 200 people and 80 speakers, including the Minister of Labour and social protection of the Russian Federation and 5 deputy ministers of the Russian Federation.
