The 2nd Congress of Traumatologists and Orthopedists "Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Capital. The Present and the Future" took place in the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences on February 13-14. This was the third event related to traumatology and orthopedics and organized by Polylog Consulting Group. Notably, the 2nd International Congress of Traumatologists and Orthopedists was held in 2011, and the conference "The Modern Approach to the Management of a Polytrauma Patient" was held in 2013.
More than 1,000 Participants
A unique business program attracted more than 1,000 heads of medical institutions, specialized companies and enterprises, representatives of public health care agencies and pharmaceutical companies, employees of think-tanks and medical institutions of higher learning to the Academy of Sciences' grounds.
The 2nd Congress of Traumatologists and Orthopedists is a unique platform that hosted the discussion of the modern methods of preventing and treating traumas, implementation of modern medical technologies in the clinical practice.
The main topic for discussion were the issues of outpatient traumatology and orthopedics. A lot of attention was given to the problems of osteoporosis, joint disorders, in particular, to arthrosis. The issues of child traumatology and orthopedics were also covered. There were also sections discussing sports trauma and rehabilitation. The event featured the symposia of Boehringer Ingelheim, Zimmer, B.Braun, and Bayer.
At the meeting of the members of the Association of Traumatologists and Orthopedists of Moscow and Russia, held on the first day of the Congress, it was decided to hold the event every three years. Citing N.V. Zagorodny, Chief Traumatologist and Orthopedist of the capital and the organizer of the convention, it is certain that the 2nd Congress will make it into the history of traumatology and orthopedics as one of the most successful medical forums dedicated to traumatology and orthopedics.
